The year has been flying by and we are already in June. Even this month seems to have slipped by faster than usual. Even though the month is quickly approaching the end, it’s not too late to set a few goals for the month. Honestly, these goals were planned out before June even started, however, the chaos quickly hit and I was struggling to find time to sit down and actually write them down. Like with the previous months, I do my best to create a list of monthly goals that will keep me busy throughout the month while also allowing for some fun andRead More →

May has arrived in a hurry. The month all but snuck up on me and I felt ill-prepared for it. With its arrival, came a major shift in weather, pushing the last remnants of winter away and landing us solidly in spring weather. This means there are lots to do and luckily plenty of hours of daylight to do it in. Much like every month, setting a list of goals I want to accomplish in May will help me stay on track, get stuff done, and ensure I set some time aside to have some fun as well. Before we get to my May 2022Read More →

Creating goals has become a monthly ritual for the past couple of years. Having a list of items I want to work on helps to keep me focused, motivated, and working towards bigger goals in life. Every month has new challenges thrown into it, so keeping my goals flexible has been a big part of this journey. In fact, I had much different goals for this month and then changed them based upon my needs. Reassessing your goals on a month-by-month basis will help keep you on track and should also prevent burnout and stress – though it can happen from time to time. BeforeRead More →

In the blink of an eye, the third month of 2022 has arrived. March ushers in the arrival of spring, at least in some parts, and with that opens up an entirely new set of possibilities. For where I live, winter still has a solid presence in the month of March, so it’s a bit too early to embrace spring. However, that does leave plenty of opportunities to work on my goals for another month. Creating monthly goals has been one of the best decisions I’ve made as it keeps me on track for working towards bigger goals. Sharing those goals here also gives meRead More →

February is here and while it is the shortest month of the year, it is just as important as all other months. Despite being a few days shorter than other months, February can be just as productive. By creating a list of monthly goals, you can set yourself up for success and tackle those smaller items that you may have been putting off. Having made monthly goals for a few years now, I can attest to how much of a change they made in my life. Now, I have the accountability needed to get stuff done, and by sharing it online, I have extra motivationRead More →

A new month and year have arrived! It’s hard to believe that 2021 is already over and we are in a new year with new opportunities before us. Though many people use January as an opportunity to start something new through making resolutions, I instead will be sticking with making monthly goals. I find that I am more successful when I set goals over resolutions. Breaking down my bigger goals into smaller chunks on a monthly basis helps a lot. Before we look at my January 2022 goals, let’s take a moment to look back and see how I did with my December goals. DecemberRead More →

Setting monthly goals has become a huge part of my life and though each month presents new opportunities to increase or decrease my goal load, I alwaysRead More →

The eleventh month of 2021 has arrived. We are getting wonderfully close to finishing the year and starting another. November is one of my favorite months, mostly because it is the month of NaNoWriMo – the month-long writing challenge. But the month itself is nice in other ways. The weather, while cold, is still pleasant most days. Hot chocolate and soup become regular features on the meal plan. But, like all months, it’s an opportunity to get stuff done. Breaking my large goals into smaller monthly chunks helps keep me on track and avoids the overwhelm of trying to get it all done at once.Read More →

Like all other months, I will be setting a number of goals to keep me busy throughout the month and allow me to work toward some bigger goals as well. The ninth month of 2021 has arrived. We are steadily approaching the end of the year. September ushers in the beginning of school and the arrival of fall – which is the best season. As with all months, I like to create a list of goals to accomplish. Whether that list is long or short will depend on the month. After doing this for a few years, I’ve really come to enjoy creating and reaching these goals. If you haven’t started making monthly goals yet, then I highly encourage you to start doing so. Before we get to my September 2021 goals, let’s first takeRead More →
