A new month means a new set of goals and I’m ready to finish 2018 off strong. But, before I share my December goals with you, I need to go over how I did with my November goals. How I did in November Complete NaNoWriMo. Didn’t quite hit this goal, but I did get some writing done. I will be sharing how it all went soon, so stay tuned for that. Declutter theRead More →

Ah, November. The second last month of the year and the real beginning of winter for us Northerners. It is hard to believe that the year is almost over. I feel like these past few months just flew by far too quickly. Hopefully, that means that the winter will also pass in a flash. Since it’s a new month, that means it’s time to set some new goals. However, before I share my November goals, I want to take a moment and go over my October goals and see how those went. How I did in October October was quite the month. There was Thanksgiving,Read More →

Hello October! Wow, this year is going by so fast. I have a hard time believing that it is already October. A new month means a new set of goals. Before I get into my October goals, I want to take a moment and look back on my September goals and see how well I did with them. How I did in September Weed the garden. Not so much. Harvest the garden. Done! Got lots of beans, shelling peas and snap peas picked. Prep the garden for winter. Some of this is done. However, with some plants still occupying the beds, not all of it is done. CleanRead More →

August is here! Can you believe another month has come and gone? This year seems to be flying by. A new month means it is time to set some new goals. Back in June I started making monthly goals and continued to do so in July. I have really been enjoying this new trend in my life. So, I want to keep doing this every month. It is time to share what my August goals are. But first, let’s take a moment and see how I did with July’s goals. How I did in July I overall did pretty well with my July goals. InRead More →

Another month has come along and once again I wasn’t ready for it. This year seems to be going by so fast. While I’m excited about the warmer weather and summer activities, I also know this means we are going to get back to winter before I am ready. After making goals for June, I decided it would be a good idea to make some for July as well. So today I will be sharing my July goals. How I did in June Overall, I did pretty well on reaching the goals that I set in June. A few didn’t happen, but that’s okay. ForRead More →

Can you believe that it’s June already? The month certainly snuck up on me. It felt as though it was still weeks away, and then suddenly here it was! After having a fantastic May, I am really looking forward to June. June will be fairly busy. I need to make sure that I stay on track and motivated. Thus I am sharing my goals for the month of June. Gardening Goals For me, June is the beginning of gardening season. It’s quite late compared to many people. However, I know that planting any earlier will mean that I will lose plants to cold and frost. I haveRead More →

One of my big goals this year is to declutter my house. I did an initial decluttering back in 2017. However, I was not very thorough with it. So this year, I am working towards doing a better job of it. I know that it will take quite some time to get it all done. Yet, I also know it will be well worth the time and effort. While our house hasn’t fallen to the rank of a hoarder nightmare, it has been a bit of a disaster for some time. We have lived here almost twelve years, and that means twelve years of stuffRead More →

This year I am making changes and embracing life. Or at least trying to. For years I have struggled to focus and get my life together. I may be able to stick to a routine for a week, but then after that everything falls apart. A lot of my failure revolved around my anxiety and depression. It’s hard to keep things going when your brain tells you everything is going wrong – even if it isn’t. One thing that I have found that helps, is to write things down. Having a list to remind me what needs to get done is great. I don’t alwaysRead More →

Everything has a starting point, but taking that first step can be difficult. From personal experience I know that starting a new project can seem impossible. Despite the desire to do it, the ‘what if’s’ start to creep into my mind. What if I fail? What if I break this? What if I succeed, but then regret it? What if no one likes it in the end? Self doubt often stops me before I can even get started. I am tired of failing. More so, I’m tired of not starting anything. Hell, it took me several months before I was brave enough to finally postRead More →
