December 2022 goals & November review

The final month of the year has arrived! It’s hard to believe that 2022 will be over soon. Some months flew by and others passed slowly. This time of year is filled with the holidays, family time, and of course plenty of winter weather. It’s also the opportunity to finish up any larger goals that you have been working on over the course of the year. I have really been enjoying setting monthly goals over the last few years and feel that it has made a huge difference in my life. Each month is full of possibilities but by setting goals I find myself to be better focused on getting various tasks done. Before we get to my December 2022 goals, let’s take a moment to see how I did with my November goals.

November review

November was meant to be filled with writing but it quickly changed to not feeling like doing anything. This goes to show that even months with light goals can go astray. However, I don’t mind that things didn’t go as planned. I did my best and did manage to accomplish some of them so I’m happy.

Life goals

  • Read at least 5 books. Yes. I read a few more than that. See what I read in November.
  • Watch 1 season of a show. Yes. I watched 1 season of The Devil is a Part-Timer.

Writing goals

  • Complete NaNoWriMo. Participated in? Yes. Completed? Not even close. I really didn’t feel like doing NaNoWriMo when it started and while I did manage to write a bit over 5000 words over the course of the first week but then I abandoned writing completely.

Blogging goals

  • Work on November’s posts. I didn’t have much planned for the month of blog posts but I did manage to get a few posts done, so I suppose this was a success.

December 2022 goals

Originally, I planned to make my regular list of goals for December. However, I quickly decided that I was going to take the month off. I’ve been feeling a bit burnt out across the board and so taking a break this month seemed like the best solution. The plan is to take each day as it comes and do whatever I feel like doing. Honestly, I am sure that most of my time will be spent playing World of Warcraft: Dragonflight. I will likely also find some time to get some reading done or even watch some shows from my to-watch list but I am not setting any particular numbers for anything.

More so, I want to enjoy the holidays and not stress about getting certain things done. I will return to my goal-setting come January.

What goals have you set for the month?
