30 day fitness challenge results

Last month I decided to do a 30-day fitness challenge. Part of the reason for this was to try to get back into shape. The second reason was to see whether these challenges actually work or not. I was pretty sure it wouldn’t work. After all, how could adding some exercise for a month really make a huge difference? Especially when I was still eating like I always have. Well, that was a big reason why I wanted to test one of these challenges out. To see just how accurate the results were. I highly doubted that I would go from fat to being ripped,Read More →

Get to know me from A To Z

Have you seen those posts going around where people break down the A to Z of themselves? Well, I have seen quite a few of them, such as the one Cornish Maid did not long ago. Another month has come along and once again I wasn’t ready for it. This year seems to be going by so fast. While I’m excited about the warmer weather and summer activities, I also know this means we are going to get back to winter before I am ready. That’s what happens when you live up North, the summers are short but the winters drag on. After making goals for June, I decided it would be a good idea to make some for this month as well. Before we get into my July 2018 goals, let’s take a moment to see how my June goalsRead More →

There are quite a few 30-day challenges out there. Some are for photography, others for cooking and there are a large number of fitness ones. There are those that look easy, while others seem quite challenging. But I am going to focus on the 30-day fitness challenge ones. We have all seen those before and after photos. Where the before picture is a person with plenty of fat on their body. Then 30 days later they are not only slim but have a killer six-pack to boot. However, the kicker is when they claim that no diet change is necessary. All that is required isRead More →

Embracing positivity, I thought I would share my May favorites. What I enjoyed this month will, hopefully, lead me to enjoy the rest of theRead More →

We all love our kids. We want them to have fun and succeed in life. Allowing them to explore the world, learn new things, and even fail at times, is all part of being a parent. Finding a balance between being a kid and learning the ways of the world can be difficult. There are only so many hours in the day. Confession time. I didn’t learn how to cook when I was younger. In fact, learning to cook after 30 was something I hadn’t expected to do. But it doesn’t change the fact that this important skill was missing from my life. You may be wondering how I go to this point in my life and was still useless in the kitchen. It’s honestly amazing looking back now to think how long I went without knowing what to do in the kitchen. If I was hungry, I had to rely on things like sandwiches, microwaveable meals, or snacks. Clearly not an ideal situation. So I beganRead More →
