Books are one of my favorite gifts to give and receive. In fact, most years when anyone asks me what I want, whether it’s for the holidays or my birthday, the immediate answer I give is books. Whether it’s graphic novels, non-fiction tomes, quick to read middle-grade or high fantasy, there are books for everyone. Though I have cut back on buying books, mostly so that I can tackle my large, yet ever-shrinking TBR, there are plenty of books I still want to own and read. This week’s Top Ten Tuesday topic is books I hope to find under my tree. Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly bookish post hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.
Books I Hope to Find Under My Tree
Komi Can’t Communicate Vol. 3
The first two volumes of this series were great and I’m really looking forward to continuing to read it. Which is why I would be thrilled if I found this one under my tree Christmas day.
Green Rider 7 by Kristen Britain
Okay, this book isn’t published yet. In fact, it’s still being written. But I figure a little bit of Christmas magic could make it happen. A girl can dream, right?
The Rising of the Shield Hero Vol. 2 by Aneko Yusagi
I love this anime series and have read the first light novel. I’m ready to continue on with the series. But, I don’t have any more of the books. So this, along with any of the others, would be great!
Adulthood is a Myth by Sarah Anderson
I love the Sarah Scribbles comics. So this collection would be perfect!
Thrawn: Alliances by Timothy Zahn
Having read the first book in this trilogy, I am eager to read the next. So finding this one under my tree would be amazing. Thrawn is one of my favorite Star Wars characters from the Expanded Universe (aka Legends) books.
Net-juu no Susume Vol 2 by Rin Kokuyō (in Japanese)
I have the first volume, which was hard enough to find, but the second volume is nowhere. I really want to complete this very short manga series, so if this were to be under my tree, I would be thrilled.
Noble House by James Clavell
I’ve been meaning to read this series for a while, and Noble House is one of two books that I don’t already own.
Two Dark Reigns by Kendare Blake
I started this series a few months ago and will be reading the second book soon. Which is why it would be great to find this book, the third in the series, under my tree.
Warcraft: Dragons of Outland Vol. 2 by Richard Knaak
One of the few Warcraft books that I don’t own. I have searched high and low for this one but it’s pretty hard to find. It’s either stupidly expensive or eternally out of stock.
Kiss My Asterisk: A Fiesty Guide to Punctuation and Grammar by Jenny Baranick
There needs to be at least one practical book included, right? I think this one would help out a lot as a navigate writing my many novel ideas. Plus the title is hilarious.
Those are the books I hope to find under my tree this year. Are there any books you are hoping to find under your tree?
